I can usually appreciate something about most performances. But that was terrible belly dance and terrible hip hop. At least the costume was cute. i liked the bra.

Could anyone translate what the judges said? I am curious...

Its hard to not smile while watching.....l;,..l;,..l;,..l;,

I'm not sure if that was supposed to be bellydance or some sort of odd BD/Bollywood/Hip hop fusion act to Bollywood music.

That being said, I thoroughly enjoyed the Human Burrito veil finale. .w.:

Hated every second ....... very, very sad ........ I thought it might be an attempt at comedy ...... apparently, it was serious ..... the only thing worse than the performance itself was the judge's positive comments ...........

I didn't like it either. Bad dancing all the way around. I don't know what the point of the show is but that's simply not belly dancing.

Judge 1 (Saroj Khan): I'm only saddened by the fact that this item was so short....when it was getting interesting it was over already.

*Directed at guy* and hats off to you for being able to dance on 1 foot/leg. Its difficult to do.

And Mashallah, Gauhar ji, at how you move you waist. Such waist has not been seen. Very nice. Very nice.
The composition was very nice (meaning choreography), but disappointing because it was very short.

Juhi Chawla: yes, because there's suppose to be an impact. Here the impact didnt even happen.

Saroj: Yes, it didnt even happen. I dont know, this makes a difference in marks.

Presenter: how do you feel about it Vaibhavi Ji?

Vaibhavi: you know, I'd like to say one thing, I'm very impressed with you Gauhar. You look at dance as if it's going to be your life. And I can read that in your performance. If I was a guy, eh, I would have started flirting with you now only. Seriously, beautiful move, the way you attend, and you know when you went down and you were doing waves. so, I think you are superb, yah. I think no, I know you are superb. Really Gauhar, you know really Hanif. I dont think you can compete with this throughout the performance. Because, you know, you have danced literally on one leg through this entire act. So I will give you props for your spirit. That you didnt stop, that you didnt raise your hand and said that I cant dance, Gauhar, you go dance alone, or that someone else can dance. And please take care of your leg, yah.

Juhi: I have been watching since the first day that Gauhar can dance. She's one the best dancers in the show. But, she doesnt come into the superb category. But I dont have a complaint about her dancing. Sorry honey, I dont have anything against you. But it seems to me that if there are weaknesses in choreography or anywhere. I cant give you the full marks. Please do something about this, Hanif.

So David, what was your opinion? You have insight to this that we don't have. Since I don't totally understand what this show is all about or who these people are or the language they are speaking through a lot of it I don't know what to think? I was hoping to get your opinion on this.

You have to keep in mind that they are not auditioning dancers as dancers, the Indian industry is so Bollywood focused that most dancers aspire and practice and breathe only to be in Bollywood movies some day (not talking about classically trained dancers here). The judges are:

It's like "so you think you can dance" the Indian version... and frankly, the dancers on the American SYTYCD that did Bollywood were aweful as well... I guess representing other dance styles without knowing them produces just as bad results everywhere lol :)

I think they are horrible. It's the BD fantasy being lived out yet again - this time with a Bollywood flare.

I think we have to keep in mind that the Indian public are just as amazed at the effort of these dancers as the American public was with the Bollywood routine on SYTYCD here in the US - which was NOT impressive.

Yet again, these dancers will never be actors. They will most probably end up in some music video as an "item" girl or guy or on the first line as a backup dancer to a Bollywood star in a dance sequence, at the best.

And everyone knows that if you're not a classical dance protege and not a lead actor - you get to dance backup OR you get to play the 5th wheel in a movie...and get killed off by the end of the movie. ..l;,

lol that was cute. I love the movie guru so I liked that since it had the song maya maya in it.. hehehe Since they used an indian song I'm sure it might have been more of an indian fusion thing. Not sure though...
