Thread: Awesome GS article on Khaireyya Maazin by Habiba, mentions me too!

I'm so excited to have this article come out, that I just had to post a link asap! The Ghawazi: | Belly Dance News & Events

Habiba and I visited Cairo and Luxor in January and had the most wonderful trip. As mentioned in the article, our friend Nibal was a great help to us and we were able to reconnect with Nadia Hamdi.

Luxor was even better thanks to our guide Hebba - Habiba and I spent afternoons studying with Khaireyya, who was so generous and sweet. Those memories of dancing with her and having tea and chatting with Hebba, Khaireyya, and Habiba will always be some of my most treasured memories and happiest hours.

I'm so happy Habiba wrote this article and share with you Khaireyya's status, as well as our contacts who helped us so much.

Khaireyya did teach at Ahlan wa sahlan, though I was disappointed to hear that most of the class left when they realized she does not speak English - only about 10 people were in her class.

Thanks for this -- I'm pretty interested, from afar, in the Ghawazee, and it's good to read what I've surmised from pieces of other's info about Khaireyya's current doings.
