Thread: Lebanese Oriental Dance: Mark Balahadia

I finally posted a new clip of me dancing. This is from IBCC hosted by Yasmina Ramzy and Arabesque. I danced to a song by Ziad Ra7bani (I don't even know the name of the song but it's from the late 60s-early 70s). I mixed old school Lebanese and Modern Lebanese together. Enjoy!

I know this music and I just converted it I will find the name for you

I have it as part of Ziad Rahbani's recording, "Bellydance Seduction".

I got the music from Lebanon but via bootleg so I wasn't sure the name of the song. Thanks!

This was originally released on the album "Belly Dance! Spectacular Rhythms from the Middle East." It was one of the first albums I ever owned.

I know this as part of a dance routine from "Spectacular Rhythms" I am sure it has a name though

I think it is Khatwet Samar. I used to own the original album. I have the CD and the whole routine is listed as one track but they do name the individual sections. This section comes right before the Taksim Nay.

My teacher used to call this "the graduation album". If you could dance to every rhythm on this CD you were ready to go pro.
