Thread: Suhair Zaki's Favorite Music?

I just got so inspired by that other Suhair Zaki video thread ("green bedlah"), that I've decided to work on a Suhair Zaki tribute piece. Costuming is easy enough to figure out (although I've never exposed so much leg in my life), and I can watch the videos to figure out her favored movements, but does anyone know what her favorite songs to dance to were, or if she had anything composed for her? (you know, the way that we know that Princess of Cairo was written for Nagua).

I have a few CDs with Suhair depicted on them, but I'm not sure if that's just a "slap a picture of a dancer on the CD" thing. For example, she is on the cover of Aswan Dances but I've never seen her dance to Aswan Dances anywhere.

Neptidi M'neim El Hikaya and Ya Amarti are two songs associated with her. I"ve posted videos of both.

She also worked a lot with Ahmed Adaweya.

I have a dvd of her dancing with Ahmed Adaweya - too bad the quality is so bad, it looks like they just ripped it off of youtube themselves.

I have favorited about three videos on youtube of her dancing to Leylet Hob, so I'd recommend that piece.

I second Leylet Hob. I've been wanting to do a Sohair Zaki inspired Leylet Hob for a while.

I noticed this thread just as I was watching her perform to Laylet Hob in green, I LOVE that performance!

We studied Suhair Zaki in my Technique class last year and made a song list of music she dances to and some places to find those songs on albums:

I wasn't sure she had really danced to Banat Eskandereya even though her name was on one of the songs in the routine. Anyone have video footage of that?

I have footage of her dancing to Banat Eskandereya - actually I have footage of multiple shows of her dancing to that piece. I'm not sure if anybody has posted it on youtube, but I can see about it if I find some time later.
