    Balancing

I'd like to include some balancing in my routine because general public usually pretty excited about everything that even slightly reminds them circus tricks:) BUT the owner of the restaurant where I perform hesitates to have a swords or candles around. Because what if the sword falls on a children who run around or what if the candles set the place on fire...

so I'm wondering what are the other options for props for balancing? I know some people balance some kind of baskets, pots, vases, trays with teapot/cups... but I never saw it myself. Any advise on what to balance and where to get it appreciated!

If your cane is heavy you can balance that - light ones won't work.

I've got a tray with just candle sticks, no candles yet. And several people have posted in the past about those LED candles. I need to get some of those eventually.

Any party or arts and crafts store will have them candles. look in the bridal/wedding aisles thats where i found them. Trust me them fake tealites (the flicker ones) look real and no fire hazard(i double stick tape mine to the tray) Or yo ucan use larger ones you find around holiday time.

Balance patrons' drinks on your head. Works best with full to half-full beer bottles and highball glasses.

I love a fancy pot balanced on a dancer's head. I've seen some beautifully ornate ones (stay away from tall ones, with their higher center of gravity they're harder to balance unless they're heavier at the bottom).
I really like the idea of balancing a patron's drink on the head (anything is interactive with guests is good), but I have bad balancing nights, and if I were to drop one, it'd be pretty embarrassing.
