It was in 2002.

A student's boyfriend filmed this with a video camera and put it on a VHS. Not a professional photographer by any means! It wasn't a good quality tape to begin with. When I converted it to digital, it lost even more color and clarity. That costune was bright yellow and raspberry and shined like a million diamonds as it was full of austrian crystals.

I've given up on trying to do these but I sure enjoy watching other dancers do Turkish drops!

OK, here come a few of Dilek over the last few years (not necessarily in chronological order). You may have to wade though them to the end where she does the drop. And the last one of these should answer the question - can you do it in heels?
