What movie is this clip of Naima Akef from? I want to get a copy. This has, long time, been one of my favorite dance clips ever. I'm not talking what compilation of clips video, I'm talking the original movie?

Sweet ! Old-school style - finger cymbals, floor work, harem pants, fast spins, no "enhancements." I like it! I wish this style would come back in a big way.

OMG! That movie reminds me so much of the musicals in the 40's and 50's where the starlet wanders on the stage and dances or sings her heart out not realizing that the owner/producer/leading man is watching and changes her future. I haven't seen this particular clip before.

This is one of my all-time favorite clips, and the one that made me hopelessly fall in love with Naima Akef. :)

Definitely had a Rogers and Hammerstein vibe!

I think the movie title is actually Ahebek ya Hassan, here is the title in arabic:

احبك يا حسن

but I don't know if it is the right movie, it's really hard to find any info on it

Update Shems? Did you get your movie? Was it good quality?

Yes, it came, great quality (as good as can be expected from an old movie, much better than anything I've seen before), no subtitles - the only drawback is the company threw a logo up in the corner and it never goes away (slightly annoying). The footage is amazing - so many great dance numbers! I <3 Naima. I'm so glad I got it.

Oh fantastic! Thanks for the update, I like having another source for Arabic movies, sometimes it's so hard to find the ones I want from the few places I know are reliable.

This scene reminds me of "Funny Girl" when Barbara goes on stage and sings her heart out while "no one is watching" after a failed dance performance.
