So, the Female Archetypes (http://www.bhuz.com/forum/belly-danc...rchetypes.html) thread gave me an idea for a little game...

Let's post some of our favorite videos here and attempt to classify them according to the archetypes mentioned in that thread:

This is just meant as lighthearted fun, NOT as criticism of anybody, so please do not post something you don't actually like and do not poke fun at anyone! This topic is supposed to be a cross between the "Videos for Inspiration" thread and the Archetype thread.


It's OK to classify a dancer from a video someone else posted if you disagree with the archetype the original poster gave her, or if you'd like to add something else.

It's OK to just post the video to ask for opinions and not give a classification.

It's OK to "mix" archetypes (example: "I see Suhair Zaki as a crossover between "El Sitt" and "Bent el Balad").

It's OK to create new archetypes if your dancer really doesn't fit any of them (those are female archetypes so for example anyone who posts a male dancer will probably need to post a new archetype).

It's OK to give a detailed explanation of why you think your dancer represents a certain archetype, but it's also fine to just assign an archetype without saying anything else.

It's OK to post more than one video of the same dancer and give each performance a different archetype.
