Thread: The best "Dancing for Husband" egyptian videos

Funny, cute, tacky or cliché, "Dancing for Husband" is a quite usual topic in egyptian cinema. Many arabs say that dance is something to do inside the bedroom. And because it's something that allows the entrance to women's intimacy, it's not well regarded outside home... But cinema is a step to that misconception.

Some dancers are well known, some not that much, but anyway I had to share these with you :-)

The famous 'leave your hat on' clip in the first post... I haven't seen it in AGES! Years ago I was told it was Fifi Abdo, but watching it now I really don't think so at all, do you?

hahaha, these are hilarious. Strangely, when I've tried this at home, my husband just gives me that "stop all that dancing about and come to bed already" look. No appreciation for art, I tell ya.

Hi, Lauren! The guy who posted it on Youtube is egyptian and he wrote "Fifi Abdo" in arabic on title. I think it's her. Same body, same legs, same face, same kind of things she does. There are other videos of her below, like the one dancing on table.

Good question! Maybe his mother didn't want him to marry that woman... .w.:

Maybe his mother didn't want him to marry ANYONE and he was a big mummy's boy till he met Fifi and his mother died .. but he feels guilty and it's affecting his, erm, performance capabilities. Fifi is trying desperately to get him to do his husbandly duty! Well, that's what I think. (I love making assumptions about what might be happening in these movies I don't understand!)

With regards to the clip with Fifi and the appearance of the older woman, I have not seen the film but the image could have been an image of Fifi when she was old.. it looked like her.

I have seen the more modern film with the guy in the shorts and the rocket launcher and the actress is Basma.

The film is a comedy and basically the guy develops impotency problems after the fall of Baghdad. He is convinced that Egypt will be next and is worrying so much he loses his 'confidence'. This is basma trying to take his mind off the other problems and fix hers.
