I am assuming that is Randa in the first clip, how old is she there, she looks really different.

    Hi Marya,

Yes it is Randa in both clips.

I was looking for an earlier one of Dina that i have seen before, it is interesting to look at how a dancer develops her style and personality with experience.

Here's a clip of Dina very early in her career. You can see the seed of the style that has become uniquely hers.

    Thanks Aziza,

that was the one I got bored looking for.

Yes, the idea was to look at how those dancers have evolved and developed a unique style.

I saw Randa for the first time about 8 years ago and she looked very different to now.

I first saw Dina about 15 years ago and she looked pretty much the same as she had already developed her style when I saw her for the first time.

I am pretty sure that this is the dress which was donated by Dina and raffled at Raqs Britannia about 2 years ago.

It was absolutely tiny and I never imagined she could ever be that small.

I know an Egyptian guy called Afifi (from Afifi's bazaar in the UK) won it and donated it straight back to Just Because so it could be raffled again. It raised alot of money for charity! lol

Look how fresh-faced and pretty Dina was! (I still think she's lovely, but she looked so young in that clip.)

I think it's not only a matter of looking different. I really prefer the style Randa and Dina used to do in the past...

    Wow, awesome thread!

It's very interesting to see how differently those dancers looked, danced, and dressed back then and how their styles have developed since. Some changed a lot more than others...

I'm going to have to add Soraia Zaied to this even though she isn't Egyptian. I'd definitely say she is Egyptian style and she's been dancing in Cairo for a while now, so I think she belongs in this thread anyway.
