Looked in awe at the boom of whiplash-inducing choreos on Youtube?

I am totally into Iraqi dance right now!!! I am going to join the group this minute.

I would like to join your club! We are going to have an exciting show in San Diego this August . There are going to be different dance styles including Iraqi Dance. DaVid of Scandinavia is a fantastic teacher and performer of this dance style. I take classes in this style and have taken his workshops too! I highly recommend the workshops or private classes everyone will learn allot and the music is so fun to dance too! I do perfrom this dance style at some venues. I have learned allot about this dance; but i plan on taking private classes this summer so i can learn more!

Right now I try to post as many clips/articles/interviews as possible about the Iraqi National Folklore dance group,who has been working since the 60-s)

It is very similar to the Reda or Kawmiya troups,staging folklore dance for stage...except the female dancers in Egypt doesn´t recieve death threats regularly...

One of the members/choreographers,first female dancer Hanaa Abdullah´s teaching assistant Mohanned Hawaz has danced since he was 12.He has toured more than 15 countries and taught folklore between 2000-2005 before was forced to flee Iraq for Sweden.

The upside is that he started an iraqi dance group here("Enkidu") who is performing regularly-and they will go in July to perform in a folk dance festival in Algeria.
He has joined the "Iraqi Dance"group on Facebook now,as well as DaVid:)
