Thread: Top Tribal Fusion dancers?

So what I want is to watch video of the most inspiring Tribal Fusion dancers you all can think of. So who are the top 25 or so Tribal Fusion dancers? In no particular order.

Please list those YOU consider Tribal Fusion dancers (whether or not the dancer considers himself or herself Tribal Fusion) or Fusion dancers with a STRONG base in Tribal dance.

Don't neglect to list the "obvious" because they may not be obvious to me.

I can really only name the obvious, since I'm not a student in this style.

How about Elizabeth Strong, though? She dances many styles -- I love her Turkish Romani! --but she's also a pretty strong TF dancer, I think.

Awesome! Some new names for me too! And I know the "fusion" description can be difficult -- Gothic, Experimental, whatever -- I'm just looking for a good overall introduction to the "other side" of the belly dance world. Troupes are good too! Thank you!!

I was impressed with Sera Solstice when I saw her and also April Rose of Unmata.

uk dancer Darkstar: reasons, shes takes a wide range of non "bellydance classses to fuse with her tribal and bellydance, to add depth and precision to her moves, this has made her dance varied and polished

This is such a great discussion - it is super fun to "discover" some new dancers on this thread.

I'd like to add a couple of my favorites:

Zafira - no longer together, but Maria Hamer and Olivia Kissel are still touring professionally as soloists. My troupe and I have hosted them, and they're just so lovely.


Onca O'Leary / The Mezmer Society: I've taken several workshops with her and she's wonderful, wise, and such a good dancer/singer/performer


Samantha Emanuel: I know people have mentioned her already, but I JUST LOVE HER--she's really come into her own!!! This viddy is my favorite performance by her.


Jill Parker:


Elizabeth Strong: just took a workshop with her recently, and she's so sweet and kind!!!


Joline Andrade: Have never seen her perform live, but I like her videos!


Kammi Liddle: Has been mentioned here before, but I LOVE this video and costume!
