That's fine for SKA but that's not belly dance to me. That's my opinion.

no not to me either. but they are calling it both. it just pointed out to me once again how similar, dance hall, hula, BD, etc. are. she's got great hips for the dance tho.

She's totally cute and a really good dancer. She'd kick some major ass if she got dance training. I even like her explanations. :0)

Some of it reminds me of "stripper dance" a la Rize (bitchin' movie!!!).

Looks more like hip hop to me! She moves really well, but the stance and leg movements are not "belly dance".

I agree--not belly dance, but she is adorable. I like that she is really serious, and that she says she is self-taught but she will just do her best to explain what she is doing when she dances.

Well, looking at it again, I think it's more for SKA and Hip Hop, but it has the same moves as belly dance like the undulations and the maya - bring the legs closer and BAM! you have a good belly dance. Did anyone checkout the "Ojos Asi" (second video) video with the girl dancing "Shakira" style? I think she did a decent job.

At least she has on clothes, and was not clobbered by the wardrobe of justice.

HOLY SH**! I just tried the up-to-down hips with the chicken dance legs. And I like to think of myself as a solid Level III SS format layer-er and... that is not easy! I certainly don't look as fly as her!! ..cr.: ..cr.: I deserve the wardrobe of justice. ..cr.: ..cr.:

I think it's very intuitive movement and like said before me - dance moves, especially club stuff incorporates so much of everything. I like that

ok..I didnt watch it all the way thru the first time..I just did, sound off...so why do I think she needs cymbals on the inside of her knees?

i don't have sound on this system, so only saw the movement.
she moves her hips very nicely and has nice smooth undulations.
i agree that it would look very nice if she just put her legs together. i've never been a big fan of major hip work with a wide stance for belly dance.

she is super sweet! very fluid dancing.

kids yes because it's a youth culture dance. i found videos of the dance that were teenagers. i posted her vid because she's the only one i saw explaining it. she's a college student so yes she's an adult but most of the people doing this dance are actual kids.

This is what I call dance hall style or stripper dance, When I was clubing this is how they dance to the dance hall music. She is very good at it, but I've seen some real slinker,complicated dance moves!!

sorry, I got distracted by her boobs when she turned sideways. She doesn't need a Sahar. She's got nice moves, I wish I could do some of the oooy gooy combinations that she's doing in her clips. With closed legs, ofcourse.
