Folkloric Resource Thread
Post em here if you got em....lets see some examples of your favorite folkloric dance style and why. I'll go first
Raks Assaya. Why...Its the masculine and the feminine energy in one dance. The equivilant emotional content of Demi Moore dancing to Annie Lennox in a man's suit. Irreverant, sassy and very tongue in cheek.

I personal worship the ground Hala el Safy walks on. OK, that's an exaggeration but I think she's tits up and screamin in my book. She is so graceful and yet earthy at the same time. There are another set of clips on Youtube I didn't post of her dancing saidi.
