    Having a hard time seeing the shoes. Are those flowers on the instep? However I am loving those dresses with the fried-egg-like flowers on them.

    ack! melaya interruptus! it ended just when it was getting good!

    the shoes were blurry on my screen, but they remind me of a cross between a spectator flat and house slippers. lol! and I totally need to send this clip to a friend of mine who argues that melaya leff characters are ONLY about 'going to the market with a big basket, shopping for a husband.' if it's good enough for nagua, it's good enough for me!

    I posted this when someone else..I forget who...posted a thread with nearly the same title, showing off her flowery new shoes. I then found this clip. I had no idea this dance style had been around this long.
