More thoughts on "pushing the envelope"...
A great quote I just read by C.S. Lewis:
"... no man who bothers about originality will ever be original whereas if you simply try to tell the truth, you will, nine times out of ten, become original without ever having noticed it."

Very lovely. I think we all need to follow our own truths. We are original already, but in following our herat we share our sweetest joys and passions with the world.

I like to think that man means one of mankind (and I take the liberty to use that interpretation whenever it seems called for, whether it was intended by the speaker or not).

Re: More thoughts on "pushing the envelope"...
LOL! Every time I hear the word "mankind," I'm reminded of a great Deep Thought:
"Maybe in order to understand mankind we have to look at that word itself. MANKIND. Basically, it's made up of two separate words 'mank' and 'ind.' What do these words mean? It's a mystery and that's why so is mankind."
Sorry, I couldn't help it!
