EVENT DESCRIPTION: Imagine yourself immersed in dance, surrounded by the beauty of the Texas Hill Country. You wake each morning with a ritual stretch on the green banks of the Guadalupe River. Your days are leisurely paced with morning and afternoon classes and plenty of time for hiking, swimming, shopping, practicing, and relaxing. Your nights are filled with music and dance, with henna, campfires, and with frienships old and new. This is Bahaia's HOT Dance Camp!

The first of its kind in Texas, Bahaia's HOT Dance Camp is held at Camp Arrowhead - a girls' camp in the summer months. The accommodations are rustic, but not primitive. Lodging is provided in community cabins, all wired with electricity. The community baths have private stalls and hot water. Three hearty meals and snacks are provided by the catering staff in the indoor dining hall. Classes are held in a spacious hall with hardwood floors, a raised stage, and a professional sound system. Shows and evening events are held on the river banks and in the dance hall.

The beauty of the Hill Country is breathtaking in APRIL. This is the perfect, serene environment in which to expand your creative horizons and revitalize your passion for dance!

Re: Is anyone here going to Tribal Camp (Tramp) this year? It's all Zoe!!

I also found this on Tribe, more description:
Here's the class descriptions for TRAMP 2008. There are still a few spaces left and the early bird price was extended through 3/15!!! So take advantage of this great deal, if you haven't already ;)

Workshop: Sultry Moves with an Old Timey
    Sensibility

Zoe will be incorporating a touch of her
burlesque influence into a slow and playful
choreography (mixed with some lightening quick
craziness) that will charm them all. All that
ooey gooey stuff that is so fun and delicious to
watch and do will be focused on in this class.
If Mata Hari was around today, she might have
done a few of these moves?.. Open to all levels.

    Workshop: Unleashing the Inner Spaz!!!

Fancy kicks, tight spins, and those elusive
concepts to take pops and locks to the next
level by mixing the liquid smoothness of a snake
with hits and stops that look almost inhuman.
This workshop will focus on ways to perform with
    passionate expression while maintaining control
and grace. These concepts will be fully broken
down using short combinations as examples so you
will be able to get a real understanding of the
mechanisms behind them. Intermediate level -
some belly dance experience highly recommended.

    Workshop: Fast and Furious

This workshop will use specific pilates and yoga
based exercises to strengthen the core muscles
necessary for backbends, belly rolls, tight hip
work, and shimmies. Hip, head, shoulder, and
chest isolations will be drilled, as well as
working on smoothing transitions from move to
move. We will go over lots of pop-lock
technique, as well as fluidity of movement,
stressing on posture and upper body awareness.
This class will give you the tools to execute
all that cool stuff and make it look easy.
Prepare to work hard and sweat. Open to all
    levels.

Brandy and Bahaia's class: Cabaret versus Tribal

This class will explore the stylistic differences between both Cabaret and Tribal Bellydance movement. Several basic moves from each style will be demonstrated, broken down for complete body mechanic understanding and then drilled for muscle memory.

Brandy's Class: Combos and Formation Changes (small and large group dynamics)

In this class, we will take our basic moves and put them into the group improv format. We will include dancing in groups of 2-4 and large group dynamics using chorus line. We will also go over more advanced combos, including combos that specifically change the lead. Bring zills for this class!
