Is it outdoors this year? I was a vendor last year. Great fun!!!

Yes, we're very open to letting anyone perform in nearly any style... for under 7 minutes, of course. We're a very casual and friendly little hafla. ..l;,

Oops, no, that's a different event. You vended at the summer event hosted by the Bellydance UW troupe (I know, 'cause I think I bought something from you.) This is a smaller event in a smaller venue (well, it could hardly help but be smaller than the Great Hall, eh?). Some of the UW gals come, but it's a citywide event.

Gates of Heaven is actually an old (very old) synagogue that is now used for all types of gatherings, and it's rented out by the city's Parks department.

oh, my mistake. Sounds like awesome fun!!!

Yes, it's hard to believe, considering the carefully-planned elaborate haflas that so many people throw! We are still a very small event, but we've got the only hafla in Madison at the moment! Very friendly, very relaxed... and if we're lucky, Sadira will bring the stuffed dates again... ..g.:

This sounds like fun. I wish I could come. I have a wedding the night before I have to work that morning and dancing the next day. That's a busy weekend for me. Have fun. Maybe I can come up for another in the future.

I miss cheese curds, having two shisha/hookah bars downtown for after work, and the farmer's market.

I do not miss the Packers or any specialized cheese-wear for sporting events. The Northern Wisconsin step-family always threatens to send me assorted cheese-wear.
