Thread: looking for teachers in Oakland,CA

I'm going to be visiting San Francisco in June, and will be in Oakland for a day. Does anyone have any suggestions on a bellydance class? I'll be there on a Thursday afternoon, if that makes a difference.

I'd prefer a tribal style/tribal fusion class, please! Extra points if the teacher is vegan ;) Haha, I'm just always looking for more vegan bellydancers.

Hi Aviva!

It happens that I teach a class in Berkeley on Thursdays. (Berkeley is Oakland's neighbor). The class runs from 5:30-6:30 at Ashkenaz, 1317 San Pablo Ave @ Gilman. Drop in fee is $12.00. I teach Egyptian dance and I'm omnivorous but drop by anyway!
