Thread: A dream of Arabia Auditions June 19th and 20th Chicago

A Dream Of Arabia, a theatrical production of Middle Eastern dance and music, will be holding auditions to join the cast after the US premier in Chicago June 12-15.

Audition dates: June 19-20
Open Casting Call - auditions based on choreography from the show

Call Sheet distributed June 17
Auditions will take place in downtown Chicago (North area)
Michigan and Belmont Ave.

A DREAM OF ARABIA TV SPECIAL ON JUNE 8TH, ABC, is doing a 30 mins special about this major Middle Eastern production!! Chicago Public radio also, not sure if morning or what time, but I will post as soon as I know!

I just can not wait for the show!!!

This show is produced by a major Middle Eastern dance company based in Chicago, Maqam, the show opened in Japan, and the star of the show is from Japan, she has an extensive Middle Eastern dance training, this is NOT a Japanese production.

This is probably a silly question, but... when you say "call sheet will be distributed on June 17" what does that mean? :Aembarassed:

That means, that the requirements needed to audition will be released on this day.

Minimum years of training, availability to travel, etc.

This is very exciting! Chicago seems to have a very active Bellydance community! (Cool for me since it's only a few hours away from where I currently live)
