Thread: Atlanta performers/teachers

Hi All!
I'll be taking a short weekend trip to the Atlanta, Ga area in a few weeks. Anyone know any good restaurants with performers? I'll be visiting friends but would love to take a class, if I have the time. Anyone allow drop ins?

Hey Carissa! Fellow Atlanta Bhuzzer here!

Aziza, Amani Jabril, and most of Atlanta's top dancers dance at Taverna Plaka - there was a falling out with the Imperial Fez a couple of years ago (long story), and its pretty expensive to boot. Plaka is a great party/ dance atmosphere. I would highly recommend Aziza for cabaret, Amani for folkloric or Oriental style, and Ziah for anything and everything tribal. All three accept drop ins. Amani and Ziah teach on Tuesday, and Aziza teaches on Wednesday.

Thanks ladies! The Imperial Fez looks really nice but I think Taverna Plaka is more the atmosphere we're looking for.
