Thread: Dahlena 5 Day Workshop (chicago)???

July 26 thru July 30 Five Day Workshop 2008, Deposit, and Balance after Deposit

So tell me about Dahlena... I know there's been discussion on her a little while ago but:

What goes one during these 5 day workshops??? It's a mystery to me! I'm thinking of coming into at least one day of the 5- but I have no idea which day to take and what to expect- except that she is fantastic!

Help a sista out!

I have no clue about how she teaches but I am going to the entire weeklong. Can't wait :)

if some magic funds appear, I'll be there all week, too!! But right now it looks like i'll be signing up for just one day (better than none!!) but which day???

yeah, I was looking for more teachers to take lessons from around my area, and this studio is maybe 3 blocks away from my house! imagine my surprise!

I'll be there for one day! I'm not quite sure which day yet!

I'm thinking maybe day 1 would be the day to take?? I'm a little nervous of 'just picking a day' without a description...

I have been to her workshops before I can promise every day will be fabulous. I will be dancing with "Desert Sapphires" in the workshop show friday night and than I think I am taking the workshop on Sunday. Hope you can make it.

oooooohhhh there's a show??? where?

I went to a 2-day in April and learned an incredible amount of moves, body presentation etc. Dahlena shimmied my @$$ off. I would attend a workshop with her again without question. She has alot to share. I can't go next week though. Have fun ladies and post your observations here when you return.

So I totally got my butt kicked! So I'm guessing that is the definition of "follow the bouncing butt"? It was a lot of fun!!! I'm really no good at following the bouncing butt......l;,..l;,..l;,..l;,Gosh it feels good to dance again!! I feel the old wheels starting to loosen back up!! And Dahlena is a sweetheart. I wish I could attend all 5 days, but alas, my bank account groans ( i couldn't resist a new pair of zills :zillgallop:).


So I was the shy one in the blue tee shirt on the left side...tan headband and hair up in a bun-type thing...

I have to admit that I enjoyed the Sunday workshop and wished for a deeper pocketbook too!

And the show on Friday was a lot of fun!

According to my instructor, the choreography will be out on DVD. I just don't know the release date.

By the way, do you remember the name of the music? I loved it!

Dahlena and her dream workshops! Always learn a LOT, got my butt kicked and loved it! She's one of the best - both as a dancer/performer and as a teacher.
