Thread: In search of great dancing in NYC help!

Hi Ladies,

I am in NYC for the weekend and my friend and I are looking for a club or restaurant to catch some live performing. Any advice? I am looking to catch a modern egyptian dancer for some new inspiration. Thanks for your help! Downtown is best for us :)

Ask Vasha_Hatal! She is in NYC and is, herself, an excellent dancer.

One person to see for very modern Egyptian would be Andrea of Cairo. She may be dancing at Al Diwan but I would call ahead to be sure.

I know Andrea is dancing tonight in Jersey city. Its a fun place. A quick and easy ride on the PATH train if you're up for it :-)

Vasha Hatal has moved to the Baltimore/DC area. She's really sweet and we're lucky to have her.

For Egyptian style - Rania in NYC is EXCELLENT.
Right in Manhattan Lafayette Grill has dancing every Friday night with an AMAZING band.
