Thread: Atlanta Area Belly Dance Instructors Wanted

Jendayi Belly Dance is currently looking for advancedCabaret and Tribal Belly Dance Instructors for our studio in Holly Springs, GA (near Atlanta). Dancers must have 5 or more years of experience and extensive knowledge in their styles.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:• The instructors shall agree to be ready for class to start on time, finish on time and shallagree to schedule his/her time for set up and take down necessary for efficient classperformance. In addition to maintaining accurate time cards.• Instructors are expected to exemplify the mission and values of the organization, teach andcommunicate those to the students. Included in this expectation is dress appropriate for afamily friendly atmosphere.• Instructors are expected to find their own substitutes if they are not able to teach a class andcommunicate the substitute to the supervisor in a timely manner.• Exercise instructors are expected to attend mandatory staff meetings and workshops asscheduled throughout the calendar year.• Exercise instructors are responsible for their own music and agree to use music suitable for afamily setting. Exercise instructors further agree to dress in a manner appropriate forworking in a family setting that exemplifies the bellydancer persona.• Inform your supervisor if you cannot work and find a pre-qualified sub.• Contribute to the development and maintenance of a positive, safe, nurturing, nonthreateningbellydance experience.• Seek to learn students’ names and welcome them personally.• Refrain from diagnosing injuries, offering medical advice, and dispensing or endorsing anyand all commercial health products especially nutritional supplements, vitamins,performance enhancing substances, and pain relievers.• Other duties as assigned.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:Ability to actively demonstrate cabaret belly dance moves, communicate with class, aerobic capacity to perform class motions.
