Workshop sponsors in Buenos Aires?
So I know that there is a big Oriental dance community in Buenos Aires.
Can anybody recommend a workshop sponsor who might be willing to organize workshops with 2 dancers from Switzerland and Hawai'i?
Yes, Willow and I have this crazy idea about meeting up in BA to tango the nights away together, and would like to teach a few workshops while we are already there...

I don't know anyone in BA, other than Amir Thaleb. Not sure he's that into sponsoring other teachers, he has quite a crew of fabulous teachers himself. Maybe drop him a line? You never know....

Re: Workshop sponsors in Buenos Aires?
I once contacted him, but it seems like he plans the workshops way ahead (1 or 2 years) and we would be a little late for that if we want to go next year.
I'd surf around, but my Spanish is quite poor... (I can count to 8, that's all a dancer needs, right? ..g.:)

Re: Workshop sponsors in Buenos Aires?
OK, this is a massive long shot. I do not know a BDer in BA. I do, however, know a Kiwi expat who now lives there and is very immersed in the tango scene. She is the organiser of this event:
MILONGUEANDO / La Academia / Tango Milonguero
She knows a little about BD, in that I danced at one of the milongas she and her former partner organised, and in that they danced at one of our school shows, AND in that she was looking at our old studio at one point. While I doubt she herself would have the time or resources, she *may* have contacts who cross over between the tango and oriental dance scenes there, and certainly in the "organising dance workshops" scene. Unfortunately I no longer have an email address for her but you could possibly go through the website above. Her name is Antoinette Wilson. And of course she speaks English fluently!!
