“Introduction to Modern Lebanese Belly Dance” Workshop with Mark Balahadia

The workshop will cover a brief history lecture on belly dance in Lebanon, the differences between classical style and the modern style, typical combinations and signature moves of several dancers. If we have time, I will throw in a bit of Ra’s Khaleeji too.

The workshop will be on December the 13th 2008 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm in room 4a at the 440 Studios, 440 Lafayette St., East Village NYC. Cost is $40 at the door, $35 if you pre-pay via Paypal before December the 11th.

Please bring a chiffon veil, a coinless scarf, and ballroom heals with a 2 – 2.5 inch heel if you have them.
