Looking for a teacher in Belgium!! Urgent

    So here's the thing.
Our BD teacher has a new job which due to scheduling means that she can't teach us until next april. She had found a replacement prof to teach us until she comes back. Long story short, the temporary prof seems to be having issues, she hasn't come for the past 2 weeks (without warning us) and apparently doesn't intend to come back to teach us.
    So we're left teacherless.

we already have a danceroom. the classes are in Liège, Belgium, on thursday nights, 7:30-8:30pm for the beginner class and 8:30-9:30pm for the intermediate.
    the groups:
-beginner = first year of belly dance
-intermediate = 2nd, 3rd, 4th year of bellydancing (though some 1st year girls skipped right up to intermediate, having no proper teacher to put them where they belong, it's kinda slowing us down, but yeah...
at intermediate level, to give an idea of the level/style, choreos we have learned include the BDSS Entrance of the Stars and the beginning of Return. (it's far from perfect, but fun and i think we aren't that bad :D )
we've also dabbled in tribal a bit..

I'm just a student, i have no clue about the payment and other such technicalities, but if you're interested (or know anyone who could do the job!) please PM me and i'll forward you to the proper people :)

    thanks!!!

you might want to post on Danspunt - Danssite van Vlaanderen and on Buikdans workshops en lessen Arabische dans in België en Nederland as well... both regularly have advertisments looking for teachers and dance teachers looking for work might check it. buikdans.be also has a french/english speaking part. i dont know if theire is a french language equivalent of the danspunt organisation, which is flemish, its an umbrealla organisation for amateur dance. wallonie might have something like that too...

are there no other teachers in the region you could migrate too?

Looking for a teacher in Belgium!! Urgent

    Hallo there,

You might want to contact Hayat via mobile 0474/415.641 or via e-mail flowers@multiply.com - she speaks English).
Hayat is Brasilian and gives classes in Antwerp. She's a former student of Silvia Salamanca (also cfr Salamanca (ook Silvia Salamanca: tribal bellydance meets flamenco!) and is extremely talented.

For your information, Silvia Salamance is coming to Belgium on June 19, 20 and 21, 2009 to give workshops (fusion flamenco, gipsy, belly dance).

Best luck and hopefully we'll be meeting in the future.

    Have a nice weekend !

    Tania Lamberechts
