    Teachers in Paris?

    I'll be staying in Paris for 6 months and was wondering if anyone knew any good teachers and or places with live music/dancing?

    Association ODC - Cercle des Danses Orientales, réseau de diffusion de la danse orientale en France - Annuaire et agenda de la danse orientale.
    They have a searchable directory of dance teachers.

    I adore Leila Haddad, isn't she in Paris? If you can, study with her. She is Arab (Algerian) and a world-class dancer and instructor with a very charismatic personality.

    Also a personal recommendation for a friend of mine- Raphaelle Masson- a fabulous dancer and an excellent and rigourous teacher.

    I had asked about this a year or two back when I was heading to Paris....there are a lot of good suggestions for teachers, as well as a French BD forum. I didn't have a ton of luck finding classes, but then again, most people were on "les vacances" when I was there during the summer

    Correction: Leila is Tunisian!!

    August is THE month for a lot of people to go on vacation,especially North Africans. There's several dancers, but you would need to find one closest to where you are at. Good luck!

    She is great and very very very nice! She represents the fresh and modern but always ladylike style and she has won several prices.
