Thread: Monthly Hafla in College Park MD

I am working with a Restaurant right now that wants to host a monthly Hafla night, sort of an open mic night for belly dancers. All styles and levels are welcome. The owners just request that the costuming be a little conservative (not too much legs and boobies).

There will be a featured dancer who will be payed and the rest of the dancers get 10% off any food they order.

The first one is going to be Saturday February 28. The performances start at 9pm. So far the performers on our list include Amartia, Mianaja, Thalia, and a few students with me as the headliner.

how did the event go? I wanted to come see the show but could not make it

Is there a regular night each month? I'll be in the area for several weeks end of April/beginning of May for RTC activities and would love to come and support...

I was hoping to attend but Mr. Latifa was a bit under the weather. He's all better now.
