They have an ad on Craigslist too (copied below; I think it is odd that it states "experience preferred but we can provide training!" and also asks for the dancer's age).

I've been there, a beautifully decorated restaurant on a great street in Savannah - looks wonderful to dance in from an aesthetic point of view - but they seemed to have a regular line-up of dancers at the time, I wish I could remember the names. I wonder if there was a problem between mgt. & dancers, maybe someone on Bhuz knows who was dancing there.

Experience is preferred, but we can provide training.

Yes, they have 3-4 regular dancers already who do a wonderful job, so I wonder why they are looking for more dancers. I'm in Savannah, but not applying.

Are they open for lunch? Maybe they want someone during the day for the lunch crowd?

Hi Shahla - Thanks for the info - I live in CA but visited Savannah in April - took my son & his wife to the restaurant, where my son insisted on letting his 2-year old daughter (my granddaughter) get up and "dance with the bellydancer" during her set - at ALL times (not just when the dancer invited it!).

I think I saw some nice glossy marketing materials there for your group. Does that ring a bell?

I tried to explain to my son it was rude to let a 2-year old run up while the dancer is performing - he didn't "get it" and would not listen to "mom" - I felt so rude, the poor dancer could not move without worrying about tripping over a small child. My son encouraged my granddaughter to get up, she is a little cutie and of course she wanted to dance with the beautiful bellydancer, oh oh! The dancer was very gracious, but when her ordeal was through, she sat at a booth for a couple of hours afterwards and did NOT perform another set! (We ended up the only folks there, I suppose the mgmt. did not want to pay her unless more patrons showed up.)

Anyways, apologies to that dancer in Savannah!
