We are looking for entertainers that have it all; good looks, talent, imagination and originality that they incorporate into their performance. I tried Googling "Centerfold Entertainment" with no luck, but I sure got an eyeful when I searched for the phone number, which in every case was related to a company called Centerfold Strips. The following links, IMO, do not exactly read "classy" to me:

I don't understand why you would need to provide, height, hair color and eye color for a belly dancer. I would be afraid of the leads I would get from this site.

I was surprised with the list of bellydancers they already have on their site. Looking at their bios, it sounded like some real bellydancers are on there.
Of course their list is on a page with ads on each side---
one for "special" 4th of July fireworks, and the other with a woman holding her own boobs (forgive my bluntness please)

And it desn't help that there's a dancer named "Fantasy"

Well~~~ explains why I was so surprised to see some legit dancers
on there~~ I bet you were even more surprised!

$200-500 for a 1-hour show? *snort* I make that much for a 25-minute show.

Judging from what's written above -- the list of gigs, for instance, including bachelorette but not bachelor parties -- the folks at Centerfold seem to understand the difference between strippers and bellydancers.

I'm going to venture a guess that they're a successful agency for strippers and looking to branch out into the 'novelty entertainment' area. (giving a HUGE benefit-of-the-doubt to a company whose tagline is 'We bring the stripclub to you')

Which is fine -- I used to work with a local agency that handled strippers and had branched out into Elvis impersonators, magicians, comedy acts, etc and it worked out great.

But I'm not interested in being listed until the websites and marketing associated with the agency start reflecting more of a full-service entertainment agency and less of a stripper biz. Probably a spin-off company with some name other than Centerfold is going to be necessary in order to attract quality bellydancers.

I think that needs to happen *first* then approaching the broader range of talent. Or, I'll just speak for myself -- I'm not interested unless that happens.

But they also said weddings, bridal showers.. if people hire strippers for those, then I really am out of the loop. And they DIDN'T say bachelor parties.

That what I based my benefit of the doubt on, anyway.

LOL! my comments were about the original post to this thread, not the site!

Must be mercury in retrograde or something. Lately I seem to miscommunicate in every thread and I'm constantly re-posting to say 'What I mean was..."

What I meant to say -- in the post above they show signs of totally understanding that bellydance isn't stripping.

But their site doesn't reflect that.

Which leads me to believe they're looking to expand beyond the stripping biz, not include us in it.

But I would need their website, marketing materials, and name to reflect that expansion before I'd sign up.

Is that better?

not only I dont dance for an hour straight for even $500 but also I dont want to be associated with some of those type of entertainers

These guys have been around for a long time. I believe they tried to recruit me when I was a newbie dancer. Which was in 2001. .
