Thread: From the Heart to the Hip (IL)

Hi Everybody! I just wanted to share some information about an event coming up,
that benefits a cause very near & dear to my heart- fighting homelessness.

"From the Heart to the Hip"
Zayna & Serafina present... From the Heart to the Hip || Elgin PADS fundraiser | charity event Elgin, Chicago, Illinois, IL
is a fundraiser for the people of Elgin, IL that are homeless,
recently jobless, or elderly on fixed incomes in an increased cost of living world.
The Fundraiser takes place on Sunday, November 8, 2009
Doors Open at 6pm, Show starts at 7pm
at Elgin Academy's Sears Hall
350 Park Street, Elgin, IL 60120

Tickets are $20 in advance, or $25 at the door if available
children under 9 are FREE!
We also encourage everybody (if they can) to bring a needed item from the Elgin PADS or our Guest of Honor's need list.

Besides a Wonderful BellyDance Show, there will be snacks & desserts served,
raffle prizes, and a special guest of honor.
The guest of honor is a local homeless woman who uses social media to get help for herself & other people who have found themselves homeless.

Performers do NOT need tickets!
However we ask that you either bring an item or make a donation.

Yes, I am in Vegas from Fri - Monday then FL from Mon-Sun. it's a tough life...but someone has to do it :) Im sorry to miss the event. If I were in town, I would SO be there!

This is how I'm going to spend my birthday weekend,
Classes Friday & Saturday, Sphinx Hafla Saturday,
then the Elgin PADS benefit on Sunday!

Yes, I am gone from Nov 6th- 16th. The ultimate accessory sale at Calico Garden was in July...or something like that.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it either. No, I'm not traveling with Nilaja - couldn't fit in her luggage. It's the same day as my niece's bridal shower. But I'll promote the heck out of it to my students!

I'm an idiot!! I thought this event was Saturday -- it's not -- it's SUNDAY!! (It really does help to READ the posts, doesn't it??) I think I can make it after all!! Yay!! Unless Nilaja gets a bigger suitcase, of course.

Yes, what an amazing group of dancers!

I'm having a brain fart moment... I'm trying to get my ticket via paypal, but I'm not sure who to send them to. (When I click the link, it takes me to my PayPal login, and then when I get in it doesn't automatically tell me where I'm sending funds to, if you know what I mean.)

Please help!

OMG, it was just working... d'oh! When Paypal makes changes to their site, it breaks all of our buttons for stuff. I'll have it up in a few min.
