Thread: Dancer needed Oct. 8th in College Station, TX

Dear Texas Bhuzzers!

I'm in a bit of a bind, I've had a last minute cancellation for our restaurant gig here in College Station, TX. Any Texas dancers able and interested in doing a 20 minute set at an upscale Steakhouse in College Station, TX this Thursday October 8th?

Set is 20 minutes at either 9:30 or 10:15pm for 80$ plus tips. I know it is far from any city....let me know if there is anything I can tempt you with besides my never-ending gratitude!! We just launched this restaurant and really excited cause it is the only on in town. Upscale lounge, audience is mostly belly dance fans and friends. Very fun and relaxed!!

Thanks TexasRuya!! Its a really nice place, so far its been great and we're really excited. But this is part of the trouble being in the middle of no where, I knew it would be a long shot. I'm gonna make something happen... the show must go on!! ..g.:

Thanks for the suggestion Turkishdancer, but she has relocated.

Everything turned out well though ..g.: I would really love to host an out of town dancer every so often, but its gonna be hard to get anyone to travel this far!

No, its actually an upscale steakhouse ..g.: Not exactly what one thinks of for belly dance but so far it works well.

The Dallis Family - who own it and 2 other restaurants in town- are Greek.

College Station is west of Huntsville, so it'd be about a 3 and a half hour drive from North Texas.

Meredith, for those dancers who might like to visit from out of town, would it be possible to put together a mini-workshop during the afternoon?

Yep - its 3 hours to DFW.

THTX - I was really hoping to do a workshop type thing for out of town instructors!! Thursdays are definately not ideal, but I'm thinking we could get something worked out.
