Thread: NYC Dancers--Where can we see you?

So I'll be in town for Yasmina Thanksgiving weekend. My friends and I are looking for a place to go Friday and Saturday night. We are interested in a place with a live band and a dancer. I've heard about Lafayette Grill on Fridays. Any other recommendations?

I saw that already. Not very many places listed for a Fri./Sat. night.

A friend came up with some other locations that have a live band and dancer.

The Nile Restaurant and Club
Lebanese Restaurants in NYC,Al Diwan,Lebanese Restaurants in New York City,Lebanese Restaurants in Manhattan

The Nile is in a sketchy part of New Jersey, the place itself is nice but it's an all night place and the dancer doesn't go on till late.

Al Diwan is usually a keyboard and a drummer set up.

For full band,
Mezzo Mezzo on Satudays
Lafayette grill on Fridays

Does Mezzo Mezzo have a website?

No I don't think so. They have a meetup page
And Maryiah is dancing (you couldn't ask for a better dancer or nicer person. She's a Bhuzzer too!)

So New Yorkers. Apparantly I'll be staying in the area called Chelsea? I'm thinking Lafeyette Grill on Friday and Mezzo on Saturday. Any other recommendations?

Le Souk is where Tarik Sultan dances, but I'm not sure of the days he performs

In NYC Lafayette is the place to go, but it's only Fri. Then Mezzo Mezzo (Sat) is in Queens right over either the Triboro bridge or Queensboro bridge. Chris Marashlian is the one who puts that night together, and he is on Facebook and he can add you to his emailing list. I can send u his page link.
LeSouk has dancers, on both Fri & Sat, we go on around 9:45pm
Tarik's works Fri & Sat, 10:30 on Ave B location and 11:45 at the La Guardia location on the West side.
The Nile is right over the Lincoln Tunnel, so it's 5 min from 42st Manhattan, dancer goes on at around 12, I work there, on a rotating schedule. They have Valet parking and it's perfectly safe.
If you're looking for a hookah lounge, such as Le Souk, there's Horus on Ave B & 6th St, Horus on Ave A & 10th St -dancer goes on at 10:30pm, Habibi Lounge-Ave A & 12th St on Sat only-dancer goes on at 12:30, Falucka has a dancer on Sunday nites around 12mid-nite (I work there on a rotating schedule), If in Queens on a Fri nite there is Cavo, we have a DJ w/ 2 bellydancers -at 8:30pm (I work and book the dancers there)
AL Diwan has singers a small band-dancer goes on at 12:30 (I work there as well) Not sure if I'll be dancing there that weekend, but I am working there this Sat. the 7th.
