Thread: Nathalie Lebel in Albuquerque NM, Sun Dec 6?

Hi everyone

My friend Nathalie Lebel, a wonderful dancer and excellent teacher from Sherbrooke, Qc, will be in Albuquerque NM from December 3 to December 6 to take a yoga workshop. Since the workshop ends at 1pm on December 6, she is looking for a belly dance school that might be interested in organizing a small workshop with her on Sunday afternoon.

Nathalie's style is complex, fluid, and highly musical. I used to drive 1.5 hours into Canada to take her classes. It was worth it (then she changed the day :-{.

I have sponsored her myself and known her for many years. If someone wants to take this on, they will be happy they did.

I am a 3 hours drive south, but Amaya might be a good one to contact.

Just a little heads up that many people are going to be in Santa Fe that weekend to study with Astryd Farah De Michelle (I am sure I didn't spell this right) lol. What style is she? She is just beautiful.

I teach at Farfesha Studio's I can ask Michelle (Dance Director/ Owner) if she is interested. If not I can ask Flo of the Rouge Bindi's or Anala had a good idea of contacting Amaya.

Thanks for any help, Reinaa. I'm sure she would not like to compete with what is going on nearby, but maybe there are folks who would rather not drive but wish they too could take a fun class.

I guess Egyptian is what people think of her style. I know Beata and Horacio have influenced her, but I don't know who else. I think of it as similar to a strain of Canadian Egyptian that values complex, highly musical combinations, though her dance is more warm and relaxed.

Natalie is a *really* beautiful dancer. I saw her a few times in Canada.
