Thread: Tribal workshops in the San Francisco area

A friend of mine saw Zoe Jakes and want to attend a tribal workshop does anyone have anything of this type venue in the near future?

Zoe is doing a local workshop soon, maybe next weekend? I think I got an email about it, will check.

There is a lot of tribal belly dance in the SF Bay Area, perhaps more than any other style! I am not really hooked in to the tribal scene, someone else local may have more info, but tell your pal to look up Fat Chance Belly Dance and/or Jill Parker if she wants regular access to tribal belly dance classes. That is probably where I would start if I wanted to pursue fusion or American tribal styles.

Thanks for the info! I think if she fell for Zoe a workshop w/ her would be perfect! She has been backpacking through the big parks out there and workshops would fit better than classes. It's so strange to think the Bay Area has so much bellydance goodness. I grew up there and never saw so much as a hipscarf! Of course it's like that everywhere I guess.
