Thread: Looking for Instructor- Ocean Side/San Diego

Hello,

I'm an instructor in Mississippi and one of my students is moving back home to Ocean Side, CA. She was on a temporary detail for work here in MS and is now on her way back home to CA. She just completed her first 6 week session with me and has been bitten by the bug :)

Can anyone here recommend some instructors in Ocean Side or San Diego? I know there has to be some here on Bhuz. I also saw there is a San Diego Meetup, much like we have here, so I'm going to forward that site to her as well.

I saw this: Art & Dance Academy, Oceanside, Belly Dancing Lessons as far as instruction in Ocean Side. Any comments on it?

Also, if you're an instructor in the area and have a website, please post it here so I can show her. Thanks so much!!

DaVid and Patrisha don't teach in North County. In addition to the Art/Dance Academy (Morwenna Assaf). there is alsoTalia (The Oriental Jewels and Sohaila (Home : Sohaila International, Belly Dancing is for every BODY!) in North County.

I was just going to suggest Sabrina. And she is also a great performer so you'll be in good hands. I would also suggest David and Sohaila.

Thanks everyone. When she told me she was going back home to CA and hoped there would be a teacher there for her, I told her Cali was a great place for dance.

I believe she might be there already or is in the process of getting back out. She was only here for a temporary detail of a few months, training or something.

Morwenna is one of the best instructors I ever had in San Diego. She has over 30 years of experience and is a protege of late Ibrahim Farrah of NY.
She is from East Coast and treasure of knowledge and style...I love her classes.
She is the one also brings Mahmoud Reda to San Diego, and he is coming in August 28th, 2010...

all other teachers are mentioned are great...but I wanted to give my opinion on Morwenna since she is in Oceanside. She teachers right now out of her home studio.
