Thread: Classes wanted in the NW Chicago IL US suburbs

Looking for classes in the NW Chicago IL US suburbs

I took classes for 4 years here (Buffalo Grove) , but the instructor stopped teaching. I miss dancing! There are lots in the city of Chicago, but I’m an hour or more NW of there. A google search led me to this site. Can anyone point me to a class?

Lots of awesome teachers in your area/Chicagoland 'Burbs (and Lake County, of which I'm familiar:)) who are also beautiful bhuzzers... I’m impressed to get so many responses! I was hoping to find a class fairly near by...but it doesn’t have to be in the same town. Traffic is horrendous here, that’s the big issue. If the class is after dinner (as I assume it will be) it can take half an hour just to go a few miles.

Buffalo Grove is surrounded by Wheeling to the south, Lincolnshire and Vernon Hills to the north, Palatine to the west, Deerfield to the east. Thanks!

Linn... did you take from me? I used to teach Sundays at the park district until 2006. I haven't stopped teaching, but I don't teach in your area anymore. My closest class to you would be in Elgin. Everyone else has offered some great suggestions though. Happy hunting!!

I teach classes in the nw burbs-
If you are ever free on a Friday night 6-7pm I can leave you a free guest pass for my Arlington Heights Class, otherwise it is $15/drop in.

I found a class!!! After posting here, just by sheer luck, I found one offered very close by at Vernon Hills HS. A brochure for general night classes in local school district buildings just showed up in the mail. I was floored to see belly dancing in there. I also signed up for Thai cooking…so I guess I will need to work that off by dancing! The teacher’s last name is Lewis; I don’t know her first name.

Thanks to all of you! I am keeping all this info in case it doesn’t work out. I have had 2 teachers so far, and the first I had no rapport with. It wasn’t you, Mihri. I didn't see anyone I remembered on the teacher list. The good teacher I had at the park district was named Tipsuda: she was great, but her job started to take up all her time.
