Thread: Wedding Reception Performance Opportunity

One of my students referred me to a friend of hers who is getting marries in Philadelphia. The bride's reception will be in Vorhees, NJ in August. My fee and travel expenses are too much for the young couple. However, I promised I would put out some feelers and come up with some names.

The bride wants a 20-25 min performance for the Wedding reception. Basic floor performance. Leading the bride and groom into the reception w/zills, etc. not required. However, as the lead was generated by one of my students....and the bride seems nice as all heck....I would like the names of some truly experienced professionals.

Can anyone point us in the right direction?

Try Bhuz's own phillyraqs aka Fatima Bassmah. She's a beautiful Egyptian-style dancer with lots of experience and costumes to die for. She's also a good friend and a whole lot of fun. :) If she can't do it, I'm sure she'll have good ideas for referrals.
