Thread: MASTER CLASS with MONA N'WAL 10/20 (IL)

The Saturday Master Class Series in Oakbrook Terrace continues!

On Saturday October 20th, 2007 our guest instructor is MONA N'WAL!

Renowned dance artist Mona N'wal has been involved in Middle Eastern
dance for 30 years and was mentored by dance legend Ibrahim "Bobby"
Farrah. Her areas of expertise include Turkish, Egyptian, Greek, modern fusion and theatrical styles and props of every sort. Mona's movement background includes ballet, Eastern European folkdance, Javanese Court Dance and theatre. She has worn many hats in her dance career including working as a dance director, choreographer, professional entertainer, and instructor. Mona has taught independently and for the Wisconsin Student Union since 1980.

This master class is geared to upper intermediate and advanced/pro
level dancers with technique, combinations, veil and zill instruction.

10:30am-2:00pm (3 hours of instruction, 30-minute break with
refreshments provided)
Fee: $45 non-residents, $40 residents
Max 20 participants

Classes are held at the Oakbrook Terrace Fitness Center, 1 Parkview
Plaza, Oakbrook Terrace, IL. The Fitness Center is just west of the
Rt 83/22nd Street intersection. Call (630) 574-0420 to register.

Mona will also perform as a special guest artist in the Saturday night Middle Eastern Dance Student Showcase!!

Can I just say Mona N'wal is an EXCELLENT teacher. I have taken private lessons from her on two occasions, and she really delivers alot of information. She is also the kind of teacher that can give knowledge and information that will be useable to you no matter what your style.

My style is actually quite different from hers (from what I've seen) but I took away alot from my experiences with her and incorporated it into what I do now.
