Thread: Is there any intrests in USA?

Hi!

I'm just trying to find out if there is any intrests in USA to sponsor me in on a tour? In August 2011 is Ramadan and at the moment I'm free during that month.

I have been in alrasy in New York and Austin once so those areas there is people who already know my style and ways. How about other areas?

Outi, why don't you contact Dee Dee of Little Egypt in Dallas?? From what she told me a few days ago, she will move Cairo Nights around to avoid Ramadan (she is muslim so will be observing) . . . but she might do a small one day workshop if you are already going to be in the States.

Dee Dee of Little Egypt also hosts dancers all over the US & Canada, not just in Texas.

I was going to suggest Dee Dee as well. Outi, I know from taking class with you at the Austin Belly Dance Convention a couple of years ago that your teaching would be well-received here!

I wish we could have you in Boston but I have no idea what it takes to sponsor anyone. My teacher Najmat has sponsored a few Egyptian dancers here, but I think they were already in the US on tour.

Nepenthe: The only way of coming to USA is to split the traveling expencies. The best would be if there is 4 diffirent cities I could teach. That way it's easier to make the workshops cover all the costs. I'd be happy to come to Boston.

I'll see what Dee Dee says and I'll ask also people in New York and some other people. But if you can spread the word, it'd be nice!

Is any other citys/places who could think of me? I'd love to come, so I'm just trying ti figure this out. Anybody else I should contact?

Even though Dee Dee won't be able to do this because it will be during Ramadan, maybe we can still get up some interest and host you in Dallas.

We have a few more months to figure this out.

Too bad it couldn't be, say, central-Southern NH that I can drive to easily....
My parents live in Nashua - could always drop the kiddo off for a grandparent visit and run off to the Outi workshop!
