Thread: Northern Lights Bellydance Festival: Thriller dance at the hafla!

Hey, are you going to Northern Lights? Going to be there for the Friday night hafla???

Why not do the "Thriller" zombie dance with us at the hafla??? Gina says we can (*bouncing up and down excitedly*). We'll do the short version, only 3 minutes! You could learn it in a couple of evenings!

This is the version of the dance created by Ina Essens, who inspired the Thrill the World movement. It's not quite the same as the version from the Michael Jackson video, but it's derived from that. There are videos to help you learn it here: YouTube - INESSENS's Channel

Costuming will be any bellydance-related costume (from practice wear to bedlah)... plus zombie makeup!

This is going to be... "a thrill." Zombies and Aziza... how can you go wrong?

Well now, that's a piece of California trivia I didn't know! ..l;,

i have 3 in my garden of 12.it is a light day time smoke good for anxiousness .

I have to learn the new dance?? (I haven't even learned the old one :) Ok, we are all going to learn it together, it'll be a crash course, so study the videos, then come dance it with us at the hafla. Do you think Aziza knows the Thriller dance?? :) She probably added a little cute nose scrunch in there.

Hey, I talked with DonnaDiva and we've confirmed our plans for the Thriller dance at the hafla!

If you haven't learned the dance before the weekend and want to join us... and you'll be there Friday afternoon... there will be a Learn the Dance session at 4pm! (FREE!)

For all zombie dancers... we'll do a last minute run through at 7:30 before the 8pm hafla.

Hey, I heard from Tzigane out of LaCrosse, she's joining us!

We have a nice big group of fabulous dancers from all over joining us for the weekend. It is going to be grand!

I've just collected three more zombies for the dance and possibly a fourth (who said "how will I find time to do my full zombie makeup? Oh no!"). We are starting to achieve Critical Zombie Mass!

Vain Zombies.. love it!
