Thread: Hafla By The Lake 2007!!! BIG NEWS!!

WOOHOO!! After only 6 weeks into the approval process I have a date!! Saturday August 25th 2007 we'll be dancing on the floating stage, rocking a drum jam and partying under the stars

We're getting an official boost of visibility too, the park district is including the event in their brochure and mailings (now if I could only convince them to pick up the tab!!)

Kimahri! You are truly amazing! There is still a foot of snow on the ground, and you are already planning for dancing outdoors! Love it!

Great date, too! Weeks after the Chicago 1/2 Marathon! I'll be there!!!

Do you know what time it will be at? I'm busy in the city until 5:30 that night.

We'll start the show at 7:30, that's worked well the last two years (drum circle, shopping and general what-have-you before then)

He does indeedy kick butt!! Just got mine kicked by him up in Toronto last month. Sadly, I won't be able to make this master class though. Same time as Jasmin's Chicago Shimmyfest and I'm not missing that!! Still, I'll be able to make it to the hafla!

Oh. My. God. That is SOOOOOO COOOOOOL!!!!! Jim Boz gave two of the best workshops I've ever taken in Milwaukee last year (and I think he's coming back again, if I'm not mistaken). Not to mention he is one of the nicest and most down to earth dancer of his caliber I've met.

I'd love to take a master class with him! There's no such thing as too much Boz!

I will be there! (Bleh!... Eh!... Bleh! ... Eh! Still practicing the abdominal techniques)

Yay! I'll be back from vacation by then!!
