La Danse Orientale is proud to present a competition to challenge the best of your skills as a dancer. This competition brings together the qualities of a complete performance, ie, personality, technical and artistry.

Receive feedback from an all professional judging panel to help you grow and move forward in your dance.

11 categories, prizes awarded for top 3 places in each category. Cash and prizes awarded to the winners of Pro and Grand Diva categories.

Doors open at 10:00 each day. Contest will be held in Grand Ballroom at the Convention Center.

Saturday Admittance fee to contest on Jan. 15th is $10.00.
Professional evening show with the Saltana Band on the 15th is $15.00 advance tickets by Jan. 10th or $20.00 at the door.
Sunday Admittance daytime fee is $10.00
Evening professional category $10:00

FLY IN TO SEA TAC AIRPORT
Airport Shuttle from King Oscar is available BUT you must call them 48 hours in advance with your flight arrival information.

We just added a new category! It is a non-scored category, no placings and no prizes. It is a critique/feedback only category, for people who may not yet be ready to get their feet wet in competition, but would like the valuable feedback of experienced, professional judges.

Yes, categories are still open....entries accepted until December 31st! Would love to have you come compete!

I spoke/posted too soon. Have a conflict for Sunday so won't make it up! Bummer - I've heard nothing but wonderful things about this event and was hoping to participate...good luck to everyone there - have a fabulous time!

I swear one of these days I'm going to make it out to an event you are involved in! What totally sucked, too, was that after having to back out of BDNC in November, my family commitment got cancelled, but it was too late to get the trip together last minute and I had already given up my spot in the competition. 2010 was seriously the year of schedule conflicts for me. Hoping 2011 is a little nicer!

Christmas is over, so now it's time to turn our attention to registering for the
La Danse Orientale Bellydance Competition! Only one week left to get those
registrations in...we still have several openings! We have no children entered
and the Novice and Horizon categories are also light.

I won't be able to make this event, unfortunately, but this is a FANTASTIC idea. I wish more events had this option.

Unfortunately everyone is excited about this idea, but nobody actually followed through and signed up for this category, not even one registration for it! Based upon that we will re-evaluate for next year.

that's very interesting. I wonder why that is. Sorry to hear, I would have signed up if I had the opportunity to go.
