Thread: Costume maker in East SF Bay area needed

I'm looking for a costume maker (or dress maker) in the East SF Bay area. Someone who can work with sequin material and knows how to do bead work. Any leads would be appreciated.

I had some lovely troupe pieces done by a dressmaker/seamstress named Sally Babson. She is based in Benicia, and has a lot of dance performance costume making experience. 707-745-1007.

There is also a seamstress and belly dance costume maker named Carima that works out of Leea Aziz's shop in Walnut Creek. 925-937-7852.

Both have reasonable rates and were easy to work with.

My friend Norma makes a lot of bellydance costuming ("Norma's Originals"- she vends at Rakkasah), and will do custom sewing with your fabric. She does some beadwork, too. And, she lives in El Cerrito:
