Thread: looking for reputable sponsor in Virginia

I'll be visiting family in Virginia this summer and would love the opportunity to teach a workshop or two and possibly perform while I'm there. We'll be in and around Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk, Yorktown and Williamsburg. Looking at mid-late June.

Workshop topics, resume and references are available upon request. I offer choreography, technique, stylization and lectures. Super reasonable since I would not require lodging, etc.

You could try posting on the VA bellydancers yahoo group: VAbellydancers : Virginia Belly Dance

There aren't a whole lot of studios that sponsor workshops in that area, but some of the ones that have in the past are Bodyworks by Chandani (Va Beach), Janna's International Dance (Newport News), Hipnotic (Chesapeake), Hip Expressions (Gloucester), and Women of Selket (Richmond). I hope somebody books you!

well, i thought i had something in the works for a workshop and show in newport news, va... but my visit is only 2 weeks away and i don't have anything solid. i am going to try to set something up myself. maybe private lessons.

please - if you are in the area or think you can help - spread the word that i will be in the yorktown/hampton/newport news area and available for workshop, semi-private or private lessons on the weekend of august 20/21.
