Thread: I've moved to South Florida

I just wanted to say hi.

I've been looking on-line. It seems that there are many many teachers here. What's going on? Where should I go?

Where in FL are you exactly? What's the closest "big" city? If you're closer to Miami, look up Virginia, Bellydance by Virginia. If you are closer to Orlando, look up Suspira with Orlando Bellydance. Just north of Palm Beach is Yvonne's studio in Ft. Pierce. Another is Isis San Miguel. These are just a few of the very many wonderful dancers I've met in south Florida. There are SO MANY! lol

Looking at your website, I see the you're based in Broward County and your specialty is Egyptian Style. Bozenka doesn't teach weekly classes anymore, but she's often here for workshops. As a matter of fact, she will be teaching a few in November. Francesca (you can find her as Francesca Sahar Raks on Facebook) is a wonderful Egyptian style dancer and teacher. As somebody else mentioned, another wonderful performer/teacher is Roshana Nofret (again, you can easily find her on Facebook).

Virginia (whom I study with) is on tour now and won't be teaching weekly classes until January, but she might be able to teach privates when she's back for a couple of days in between tour dates. Two of her long-time students are covering her classes at Dance Gallery in South Miami: we're learning Virginia's latest troupe choreography and practicing double veil technique every Wednesday from 8:00 to 10:00 PM.

Another wonderful dancer who recently moved here is Valerick Molinary. She teaches at Dreams Bellydance Academy in Pembroke Pines.

do not know where naples is, but the dancer who taught me has a studio with her daughter, ansuya.
