Thread: Where to find bellydance shows/workshops in LA End of April

Hey there...

I'll be in LA end of April- early May and I would love to check out the scene there- maybe participate in a workshop, take private lessons with a master or just visit shows/other dancers.
Does anyone know where I can find information about the bellydance scene in LA?

Nasila's website, laraqs.com, should have some info. Also, roxxanne's showcase at Wahibs is gonna be the last Friday of the month (of every month, as a matter of fact)

Yup, and I'm hosting the showcase at Moun of Tunis in May while Princess Farhana is away...wanna dance while you're in LA?

Oooh, that's also when Sahra Saeeda is holding her next Journey Through Egypt folkloric intensive. Last weekend in April. She may have a spot or two open if you contact her soon.

i'll be dancing in roxxanne's april 25th showcase at wahib's. let me know if you plan on attending so we can get you a good seat & stuff. also, if you plan to come down to san diego, i can get you that info.

Sahra Saeeda sounds like a great idea. Anyone of you going there too? Do I contact her via email /website?

nini - Sahra's website is Sahra Saeeda's Site Check it out and send her an e-mail. JtE may be sold out but she does have a waiting list. I think Nasila is going. I went in January.

I haven't decided what I am doing that weekend. this will be the first weekend in 6 weeks where I won't be traveling! ACK. I might just sit at home and stare at the walls.

Yes, I'm doing JtE in April and may also be dancing at Roxxanne's showcase in April if I can do both (they're they same weekend).

Nini, if you'll still be in town May 13 let me know if you want to dance at the Moun showcase...I'm almost out of spots!

To bad- I will be leaving May 11 :( (arrival: April 23),
