Thread: Beautiful Egyptian Style Blue Dress size6/8 $150 plus shipping

I bought this on Bhuz and it is slightly long in the torso for me (I have long legs but shorter than average torso). I was going to redo the torso with blue lycra netting but have been very lazy and not got it done. I am wondering if anyone is interested in the dress as is? It's very beautiful. The bra needs to be reshaped with steaming but other than that it is in great shape and a great buy for the price. Dress could be easily modified for smaller waist/upper hip by taking it in at the side seams-it fits me as a 36A (I'd need a little padding for lift in the cup so would also work for 34B/small C), 28" waist, 34" upper hip and 37" full hip (there is more room in the waist and hip area for a size larger). There are two sleeves also.
I paid by paypal/gift so no fees. If you're not comfortable with that I would also request buyer to pay paypal fees. I also bought 1 yard royal blue netting to modify the dress with. I would be willing to sell it with dress or separate if the dress sells...otherwise I will have to get busy and fix this so I can wear it instead of store it in a box

Forgot to add...the bra should be easy to switch out as it appears the beading is not done on the cups.
After checking again I can see that the easiest fix for this is to insert shaped cups into the existing bra...there would be rebeading to be done if you try to take the original bra out. Pictures above show shaped bra cups pinned into the original cups - looks good, easy fix!

There were no body pictures in the old post, just this one...I can take one later today if you want. I just had this on a short while ago trying to decide what all I need to do if it doesn't sell...decided the best way to fix the bra is to put shaped bra cups into the old bra and stitch together. I have a 36B bra pinned in there now...let me know if you are seriously interested please... otherwise I will continue on with repairing the bra to my size.

body pics added....should note that I am very short waisted and if I keep this I will be shortening the dress in the waist area by about an inch...much better for someone with a normal torso!

Kali LOVES this dress!!! What do you think the smallest the hips would look right on? I would love to tell you what size she is but she seems to wear a different size in everything she tries on. She is about 5'5 and if I had to guess a size 4-6. If you could please take measurements of the dress laying flat, I'll get her measurements and we'll see if we can make you both happy.

I'd say it would fit a 35/36" and still look good...maybe smaller. Unstretched waist is 24" and unstretched hip is 30" I'm about 37" full hip and it conforms to my shape but does not feel tight and I can stretch it to 40". The side seams could be easily brought in for a smaller upper hip and waistline as there is no decoration near the seams.

I'm not sure...I inserted padded, firm 36B bra cups into the dress (pinned in right now) and there was plenty of room for them so I would think it would fit a regular 36C. Let me know if you need any particular measurements!

What's the bust measurement? (I'm a petite DD, so trying to visualize how much stretch in the bust...)

The fabric itself it very stretchy and would stretch to 34" with the bra in place. If you removed the bra and put your own in I think the fabric would stretch much more..but you would also have to rebead the bra...I'm not sure if i am answering your question. Please let me know if you need a specific measurement...thanks for your interest!

Horizontal=6.75"
Verticle=5"
Diagonal=7"
