Thread: REDUCED: Turquoise & Black Shadia Couture D/DD

This lovely has never been worn. It was custom-made for me by Shadia of Boston, but I was injured just before she finished it, and I gained weight during the downtime.

This costume is decorated with turquoise beadwork, jet beads with an A/B finish (so they sparkle, even though they're black), short fringe, and black mesh overlays for dimension. The belt has a hip strap, which can be removed pretty easily if you don't like it.

This is a full costume, and includes:

- Bra
- Belt with small hip strap
- Skirt (Two attached layers, with beadwork at the slit)
- Crown
- Asymmetric wristlets
- Sleevelets

I was a 34DD and about a size 12 when it was made. At that size, the cups fit, but had a fair bit of cleavage. Here are the measurements:

Bra band span: 34" (UTA: currently set to 30")
Bra cup vertical: 7"
Bra cup corner-to-corner: 9"
Bra cup underwire length: 11"

Belt length (i.e., upper hip): 43" end-to-end, currently set to 38"

Skirt length: 35"


I'm asking $450 + shipping. (Reduced from $550)

I also have some veils that I could add for an extra $25 each:
- semi-circular turquoise silk (8mm)
- 3-yard rectangle in 8mm black silk chiffon (nice and sheer)

I'm very interested...could the blet be adjusted smaller to a 34 upperhip?

Dinah: I'd prefer an outright sale (I'm injured and not performing until the fall), but why don't you show me what you have?

Bernie: the design is asymmetrical, so you could adjust it to 34". The "overlap point" is centered at 38", and at 34" it would sit on the front of your left hip. I overlapped it to that point, and I think it looks good there. You would probably have to move the hip wrap, which wouldn't be too hard.

Note: I updated the post with my answer to Bernie. If you made it significantly smaller, you'd have to move the hip wrap piece, but that shouldn't be hard.

I believe it was originally $500 ... if my memory is still intact.
